This project required Ingate C.N.C Patterns Ltd  to work in conjunction with the client, cad designer and foundry to manufacture 18 separate production tools.

Layouts are made incorporating casting contractions, allowances for machining and moulding taper or draft.

Partlines and undercut areas are determined. Coreboxes are used to make cores which are placed in and become part of the mould. In some instances a sliding loose piece is built into a pattern to eliminate the need for cores.

While these fundamental elements are resolved, it is essential that the focus remains on producing production patterns that put the foundry in the best position possible to reproduce quantities of castings in a practical and cost effective manner.

Ingate C.N.C Patterns Ltd prides itself on having excellent trade knowledge and experience in these key technical areas.
